Public schools removed God from the educational system and are now trying to replace the God-shaped hole in children with psychology, social-emotional awareness and self-help; ultimately laying the heavy burden of sin back on the child.
The more public schools try to "capture a kids heart", the more insincere kindness and gratitude become. It is not about capturing a heart, it is all about accepting Jesus Christ into your heart. For He is the only one who can lighten the burden of sin, anxiety, depression, loneliness and other "crippling negative emotions."
There is a God-Shaped hole in our lives that only the Holy Spirit can fill. -Bob Jones
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
Michael Fickess explains it so well: "When Jesus Christ died for our sins, He purchased the right for us to live our lives under God's blessing instead of the curse of the Fall. As a result, we can access a love, peace, and joy that will displace crippling negative emotions." Secular programs try to manipulate behaviors and young minds under the curse of the Fall , this only leaves students more confused and anxious.
Now, more than ever, thanks to ESA, every child in Arizona has the opportunity to experience and learn under God's blessing in a private Christian educational setting. Instead of the secular self-help programs students receive at public schools, students receive the Holy Spirit.
Spoon feeding students knowledge and having them all learn at the same pace is a whole other issue we will write about next time.
Thank you, Jesus, for allowing Psalms Learning Center staff to become spiritual mentors and educators under the House of God where we can openly speak of Your wisdom, power and love. Where the children get to start their day off by praising and worshiping You. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
